LACAB is certified with the MO Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) to provide SATOP. It is a multilevel outpatient education and treatment entity that assists DWI/DUI offenders in obtaining their driver license again. Clients are self-paying, with some state assistance.
LACAB offers multiple on-site alcohol and illicit substance testing/screenings through the utilization of urine, hair follicle, and oral swab specimen collection, as well as sweat-patch testing. We have served individuals from Probation & Parole, Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS), judicial system, employers, and individuals themselves.

LACAB offers supportive services for individuals in the judicial system who have alcohol and substance use disorder as well as mental health disorders, providing educational and treatment programs to assist in the multi-phase treatment process with the intent of moving them out of the judicial system and into lives of recovery and stability.
Lake Area Counseling & Behavioral Health outpatient treatment program. This program is specifically tailored for individuals experiencing issues related to alcohol and drugs, consisting of a minimum of 50 hours of group education and counseling, along with individual sessions.
Additionally, we will be offering two Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs):
Dual Diagnosis or Substance Abuse IOP: This program is focused on assisting individuals in rehab or those struggling with substance abuse disorders. Participants will learn vital tools to maintain sobriety and identify potential relapse triggers.
Mental Health IOP: This program addresses various mental health issues, including PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Through group sessions, participants will gain skills and insights to navigate their challenges and work towards achieving inner peace. We also recognize the importance of aftercare, which serves as an extension of both inpatient and outpatient treatment programs. Our aftercare classes will be conducted in a group format, meeting every other week for six or 12 months, to ensure ongoing support for participants.
Impact Program participants become engaged in a process of understanding their motivation to stealing/shoplifting. Emphasis is on recognizing that this is criminal behavior and finding appropriate coping skills to no longer steal.
For individuals under the age of 21 who plead guilty to possession of alcohol by a minor, we offer the A.D.E.P. (Alcohol and Drug Education Program). This program, approved by the Missouri Department of Mental Health, meets for a minimum of 10 hours and is designed to help students evaluate their past decisions regarding substance use, understand the consequences, and recognize the signs of dependency.
Self Leadership 1-2-3 Program**: A cognitive science-driven course focusing on self-leadership skills with a certified coach. This program will help participants maximize positive changes and mitigate liabilities. It can be offered in both group and Zoom settings, and a completion certificate will be provided.
