Group Education
LACAB has offered a great variety of weekly educational classes for mandated state probation clients. This has allowed us to develop services in several cities or countries in Missouri. These classes vary with seasons and needs in the probation districts. Here are the classes we are currently, or have recently conducted.
Our 16 week main treatment program for all clients attending groups. They will have a personal counselor, process & education groups. CORE deals with a range of issues, not only substance abuse. It is for everyone. After CORE, many clients will progress to a focused class such as Substance Abuse, Anger Management, etc., then 8 weeks of Aftercare.

For clients who have had prior substance abuse treatment. Usual one hour weekly.
A one or two hour class teaching methods of controlling anger and resolving inner conflicts.
A mandatory program of 26 weeks for offenders charged with a domestic abuse situation. It is certified with the Department of Corrections. Councelors are certified BIP instructors.
This is a cognitive-behavioral treatment program that helps to identify faulty thinking patterns and behaviors that have led to criminal activity and poor relationships.
Persons are often ordered by the courts for a financial offense, or seek individual help with their finances.
This is the newest program that has proven success in the criminal population to bring positive changes in behaviors and life choices. See Information Link
The main focus of our work addresses the causes and personal issues of substance abuse. All clients attend the 16 week CORE program dealing with basic personal issues, then an 8 week focused substance abuse program, with an aftercare component.
The original LACAB program that allows DWI offenders to be confronted with the consequences their victims face due to the choices of drunk drivers. It may also be used for other kinds of cries against victims.
Additional Services
Clients are able to sit with a qualified counselor to be assessed for the level of substance abuse or mental health treatment needs. Our Licensed Professionals are able to make a clinical diagnosis.
Many clients require one-on-one counseling to deal with their personal issues. LACAB has both certified substance abuse counselors and licensed professional counselors (LPC) who are qualified to deal with both mental health and substance abuse issues
Over the years, we have developed a community presence as a drug testing agency. We have several kinds of tests at our disposal such as onsite urine tests, lab collection, hair follicle testing, mouth swabs, and drug patches. The clients vary from probation, DSS, lawyers, employers, and individuals.

We are an agent for the Camden County court that provides assigning and monitoring a community service order. LACAB has several non-profit agencies wiling to receive volunteer workers.
